So I'm an Awful Blogger

I wish I had more time so that I could sit down and write something other than papers for school. l guess tonight I'm just trying to find something to do to occupy my mind so I don't feel so awful about my procrastination.

Devin graduated in December from Boise State, and is looking for a new job. So far no luck, but we're working on it. So if anyone knows of any IT jobs please point us in the right direction... We'd love to stay in Boise, but we're open to moving. I think Right how he thinks it's awesome that he doesn't have to do homework anymore.

I have six weeks left of school. That means just one more research paper in my undergraduate career. l'm exited that I won't have to write another research paper after this one, but that doesn't make me dread it less. Pretty sure that research papers have been my least favorite part of college.

As for other news, l finally have a full blown full-time job now. Around Thanksgiving time the licensing office called wanting me to temp again. And so I obliged -not heaving a full-time job yet. So when one of the other clerks quit, l got her job. Full time with benefits  Its the perfect job for me now. Monday- Friday 9:30-5:30. I get to meet all sorts of interesting people that's for sure. It's just good enough of a job that I don't hate my life and just mundane enough that when we start a family I won't mind quitting.

We did get to finally go on our "honeymoon" in January. We used our ticket vouchers from our first honeymoon to fly to LA at no extra charge and stayed in a dumpy hotel. We had so much fun. We got to visit some old mission friends and do some sightseeing. We went to Six Flags Magic Mountain. It was amazing. And since LA was having a "cold snap"-you know 60° days-no lines.

LA at sunset from Griffith Observatory.

Inside the observatory is a museum. We got there as the sun was going down and played around in the museum until after sunset to see all the lights of the city.

It's a pretty amazing view. Pictures don't really do it justice.

Devin wanted to be like Einstein.

It was definitely too cold to play in the water but it was so pretty.

It was a giant Mac'n'Cheese

Us on Santa Monica beach.

Looking back from Santa Monica Pier.

Highly recommend Six Flags if you like roller coasters. We started at 10:30, didn't stand in any lines and rode coasters all day long. We left around 4, after riding almost all of the roller coasters--2 of them twice.

So it's the Step by Step roller coaster and I thought it would be a nice starter ride. It was one of the scariest ones of the whole day.

Sunday we went to visit one of my favorite families, the Olivares'.  I felt bad for Devin because they don't speak English and well, he doesn't speak Spanish, so he just sat there and smiled.
