As Of Late

So Amanda sent me a text a few weeks ago saying that my blog was lacking. It was a true statement; thus, I'm blogging. I really have been meaning to, but with work and school and everything it just hasn't been on the top of my priority list. But here we go:

I got a job working for the summer with the Ada County Sheriff's department as a driver's licensing clerk. (Yes, I quit my job at HP, it sucked) I started at the end of April. It is definately an interesting job. It's not real difficult, but the people that come in make for good material. We get some real winners. There are a few down sides to the job though: it only goes through the end of the summer, and I have to wear the same uniform that the police officers have to wear. Yup that means that the zipper is about a foot long on the pants and no matter how skinny I got I think that I would still look like I had a front butt. It's fun though, I really enjoy all the ladies that I work with.

The awful old lady uniform complete with the grandpa sweater and the odd angle.

I had originally planned to finish school at Boise State but after a lot of thought and research I decided that I would much rather graduate two years sooner. So I'm finishing my degree online through BYU-Idaho. Right now I'm finishing up the spring semester, and after the fall I should be finished. We'll see how it works out, I'm not sure how many credits I'll be able to handle working full time.

As for Devin, he's doing fantastic. He took one summer class and now he is bored while I do homework every night. Not really though, he always finds a way to keep himself busy. Recently he went on a fishing trip with his dad and brother. They had so much fun and learned how the experts do it. They say they caught a lot of fish but it was all bass, so they just did catch and release. I say I wold have made them a good fishy if they would have brought some home... but I guess they'll just have to catch more another day.

We had a picnic in our living room one day. I was super excited to  have a picnic and then it started raining just as Devin got home. So we just had it inside.

So maybe we got one of the giant bears from costco...
We got some tomato plants for free off craigslist and re-potted them. They are pretty much thriving.

Yesterday was our first harvest. These ones are called golden nugget. I'm sure they taste delicious to tomato lovers. I think Devin and I are going to need to try to start liking tomatoes.
Kelsey took this one when we were up in Washington this April.

  4. Finally a picture of the little ol' police uniform. Keep blogging! I want to hear stories of the weirdy people that come into the ADA County Sheriff's Department.
