Welcome to Our Home

So I officially have a job now!  I start Monday at HP.  I'll work in the same building as Devin, just a floor down.  It isn't the most glamorous job ever, I will be working in a call center.  But it is really the best for our situation, because I'll be able to go back to school in the fall and keep my job.  Kelsey told me that I can make people think my job is cooler by telling them that HP stands for Harry Potter, and all day I answer letters that the owls bring to my desk.  It's pretty much the same thing right?

I really am excited to have a job and all, but truth be told I was starting to like this whole stay at home wife thing.  I've gotten our apartment all put together and looking cute.  I have a few more craft projects to finish up to make it look just that much better, but I'm quite pleased with my handy work all in all.

Welcome to our Home

We got our sofas on Craig's List for $40 for the set.
TV Cabinet
We love our fireplace.  Maybe not as much as the last people that lived here though.  When I started cleaning there was a thick black film all over everything from the soot.  It's gone now though.

This is our make-shift table for until we finish the one we bought off Craig's List.  We found an amazing old table and chairs for $65 and have been doing work on it here and there.  We found stickers on the bottom of the chairs.  They were approved for sale at the Salvation Army back in 1971.  We're excited to get it all slicked up and put back together.

The door goes out back.
We have a nice little storage closet and yard.  However we do have to share with our neighbors.  Yup... that's their smoking couch...

Kelsey and Steven got us so many games for our wedding we had to find a special place for them.  Thus we have a linen/game closet.

Our office/craft room.  If you look on the top of the book shelf you'll see Devin's ship.  He loves that thing.

We used some of our wedding monies to get a Dyson off of Woot.com.  $450 Dyson for $200... I'll take it.

Our bathroom.

Another plus about this apartment is that it has a washer and dryer.  Yay for no more coin operated laundry

Grandma made this beautiful quilt for us for our wedding.
